CITME 2002

The 8th China International Textile Machinery Exhibition (CITME) will take place Oct.15 – 19 at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing. Sponsored by the China National Textile Industry and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the show aims to exhibit the world’s latest textile machines and equipment, to strengthen the business cooperation between the textile and garment machinery industry in China and the world, and to facilitate the structural adjustment and upgrading of China’s textile industry.

The scale of exhibits has been extended in order to provide access to high-speed, efficient and high-quality looms to Chinese buyers. Exhibits include: • cotton, wool, linen and silk processing equipment; • knitting equipment; • chemical fiber processing equipment; • dyeing and finishing equipment; • nonwoven and industrial fabrics equipment; • garment processing equipment; • electric and electronic auxiliary textile machine equipment; • testing and lab equipment; • textile machines parts and other textile equipment; • application of information and Internet technology in textile industry; • application of electromechanical textile machines; and • other related equipment. Forums entitled "The Application of Information and Internet Technology in the Reform of Traditional Textile and Garment Industry," and "The Application of Electromechanical Textile Machinery," will take place. Technical seminars will also be offered.
