Groz-Beckert Introduces SAN® 11 GEBEDUR®
Germany-based Groz-Beckert KG has added the special application needle SAN® 11 GEBEDUR® to its product line. The eye of the new needle has a special shape designed to ensure good loop formation in automated sewing processes that have multidirectional feeding systems.The needle also features an unusually deep-shaped scarf to enable very close positioning of the looper to the needle, which significantly reduces skipped stitches as well as thread and needle breakage, according to Groz-Beckert.GEBEDUR needles are coated with titanium nitride to protect against wear and damage, especially at the point. New SAN needles are developed in an ongoing program that targets specific applications.
