INVISTA, Huvis From Alliance
Wilmington, Del.-based INVISTA (formerly DuPont Textiles & Interiors) and Huvis, a Korea-based polyester producer established in 2000, have formed a strategic alliance in which they will share technology and brands through cross-licensing.The companies will collaborate on the development of new polyester-based apparel, home textile and industrial products. In addition, Huvis will be licensed to use the DuPont Coolmax® and Tactel® brands on certain of its products in the Korean market, while INVISTA will market Huvis products globally under the DuPont Coolmax,Tactel, Lycra® and Thermolite ® brands. The first fiber and fabric products will be targeted for active sportswear and intimate apparel uses. Eventually, the companies expect to expand the collaboration to include products for ready-to-wear and home textile applications.
