New Textile Expo LaunchedTo Serve Middle East Market
A new exhibition catering to the Middle Eastern textile industry has been launched recently by a partnership formed between England-based Xpo Group Ltd. and United Arab Emirates-based Streamline Marketing.The show, named Textile Expo, will be held at the Dubai World Trade Centre March 19-23, 2005.According to show organizers, exhibitors at the show will include manufacturers and suppliers of machinery and accessories for a variety of textile sectors, including spinning, weaving, knitting/hosiery, nonwovens, dyeing and finishing, garment and make-up, testing and measuring, transportation, handling and packing, leather and shoes; as well as suppliers of software, dyestuffs and chemicals.In addition, organizers said the show was conceived to create one large international exhibition to serve the entire Middle East. With the abolition of quotas in 2005, it is predicted that the region’s textile manufacturers will make large investments in new equipment.Maria Avery, formerly the exhibition director of ITMA 2003, has been tapped as exhibition director for the Dubai show.
