China National Color System Under Development
U.S.-based Pantone Inc. and the China Textile Information Center (CTIC) have announced a licensing agreement to jointly brand and market the Pantone for fashion and home color system as an integral part of the China National Color System (CNCS).According to Pantone, the combined system will have more than 1,900 chromatically arranged colors in cotton or paper format.In order for China textile manufacturers to compete in a worldwide market,we need a color language that is understood on a global basis with tools that are readily available, Sun Ruizhe, president of CTIC said.Our partnership with Pantone is a critical step in this effort.
