Record Success ForCinte Techtextil China
A record number of visitors attended Cinte Techtextil China, which was held in Shanghai in September.According to show organizers, 6,515 buyers from 52 countries and regions visited the show, representing a 25-percent increase from 2002. Among those who attended, 5,357 visitors came from mainland China, 131 from Korea, 128 from Taiwan, 123 from Hong Kong, 107 from Japan, 86 from the Unite States and 77 from Thailand.There were 300 exhibitors — an increase of 40 percent compared to the previous event — from 18 countries and regions showing products that covered the entire spectrum of technical textiles and nonwovens.International exhibitors showcased high-performance glass fibers and yarns; aramid, nomex and nylon fabrics; carbon fiber material; woven man-made fabrics; membranes; industrial filtration systems; and protective clothing. Products also included machines for the production of nonwoven felts; fiber-blending lines; specialized textile machines for sealing and bonding; and ultrasonic textile cutting and spinning machines.The majority of products displayed by Chinese exhibitors were nonwovens, including health and hygiene products; filtration for liquid, oil and gas; protective wear; medical clothing; wipes; interlinings; insulation material; coated fabrics and home textiles.The next Cinte Techtextil China is scheduled for September 2006.
