Indo Rama Announces Expansion
Indian polyester manufacturer Indo Rama Synthetics (India) Ltd. (IRSL) has started the expansion project at its Butibori manufacturing site.The project, which includes the setting up of a new plant, will double annual production capacity of polyester staple fiber and partially oriented yarn from 300,000 tonnes to 600,000 tonnes.According to company chairman and managing director O. P. Lohia, the expansion, to be completed by early 2006, will help IRSL leverage the emerging opportunities in the man-made fiber sector.
