More than 80 percent of the worlds nonwovens manufacturers will be represented at the 2005
International Nonwovens Exhibition (INDEX 05), which will be held in April at the Geneva Palexpo
convention center in Geneva.First held in 1984, INDEX is sponsored by the European Disposables and
Nonwovens Association (EDANA), in cooperation with Geneva Palexpo.Twenty-thousand square meters of
exhibition space have been reserved by more than 400 exhibitors representing all sectors of the
nonwovens industry, including raw material suppliers, roll goods and disposables manufacturers,
finishers and converters, machinery and equipment manufacturers, and service providers.Newly added
programs at this years event include the Product Presentation Forum, in which exhibitors will have
the opportunity to present their newest technologies and services to attendees, and the Nonwovens
Research and Development Academy Forum, which will showcase and promote academic research within
the international nonwovens sector.Visitors to INDEX 05 will see many sophisticated applications
of nonwovens helping them to find unexpected, innovative and cost-effective answers to their
specific business challenges, said Pierre Wiertz, general manager, EDANA.
