At this year’s ShanghaiTex, technical textiles will be the focal point at the booth of Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik GmbH, Germany.Among the equipment on display will be the RS3MSUS weft-insertion raschel machine, which is designed for the processing of high-tenacity polyester and glass-fiber yarns, particularly for the production of square-mesh structures for the construction industry. As China continues to build its infrastructure and road networks, Karl Mayer sees a growing market for high-strength squaremesh textile structures in wide widths.

The Karl Mayer RS3MSUS raschel machine is designed to process high-tenacity polyester and glass-fiber yarns for the production of square-mesh structures used in such applications as road construction.The improved version of the RS3MSUS is available in working widths of up to 245 inches, and can be used to manufacture fabrics of up to 6.2 meters in width. In addition, the RS3MSUS can process very coarse yarns of up to 2,400 tex with an efficiency not attained previously, the company said.
