DuPont™ Adds New Sorona® Licensees In China
Fiber producers Quanzhou Haitian Textile Co. Ltd., Shanghai; Xiamen Xianglu Chemical Fiber — part of China Xianglu Petrochem Ltd., Xiamen; and Shaoxing Xinghong Chemical Fibre Industrial Co., Zhejiang Province; have been granted technology licenses by DuPont’s BioBased Materials business unit for the production of DuPont™ Sorona® polymer. “We’re engaging these new licensees because all of these companies have demonstrated very innovative and successful programs in the worldwide textile value chain,” said Joe Carroll, global business manager.“We made a commitment to expand our DuPont Sorona polymer business in China and the addition of these additional licensees is helping us to meet that commitment,” he added.
