Schonherr Carpet Industry Symposium In Turkey Highlights Alpha 360

A two-day carpet symposium held in Gaziantep, Turkey, late in 2005 — hosted by Switzerland-based Stäubli AG company Schönherr Textilmachinery GmbH, Germany — was attended by more than 130 representatives of the Turkish carpet industry. Schönherr’s Alpha 360 carpet   weaving machine was the focus of the event, with demonstrations of various techniques for manufacturing a variety of carpet styles on this face-to-face, cut-loop, loop-loop and high-pile machine.

The demonstration at the Bükücü Textile Ind. Co. mill highlighted the flexibility of Schönherr’s Alpha 360 carpet weaving machine.

On the second day of the symposium, Turkey-based Bükücü Textile Ind. Co. invited attendees to visit its plant to view the Alpha 360 double rapier weaving machine in action. Demonstrations covered single-, double- and triple-point weaving; and changing ground weave structures from one-shot, two-turn to two-shot, two-turn. They also highlighted the weft control system and servo-controlled cutting device.
