DyStar Unveils Remazol, Procion Ternary Combos

New Remazol Ultra RGB and Procion Fast H-EXL ternary combinations are the latest offerings from Germany-based DyStar Textilfarben GmbH & Co. Deutschland KG.

The Remazol combination — consisting of new reactive dyes Remazol UltraYellow RGB, Remazol UltraRed RGB and Remazol Navy RGB — produces easily reproducible, medium to heavy shades with excellent wash-off properties, DyStar reports. Because of the dyes’ color strength and buildup, salt and dye use is decreased by 40 percent in the exhaust dyeing process; and its Controlled Coloration® process in exhaust and pad dyeing furthers cost benefits, according to the company.

DyStar’s Procion Fast H-EXL ternary combination — comprised of metal-free Procion Fast Red H-EXL, Procion Fast Yellow H-EXL and blue formazan dye Procion Fast Blue H-EXL — was developed for hot dyeing processes and offers a range of pale to medium shades with high light- and wet lightfastness. The colors are easily reproduced and reliable because of the similar migration, substantivity and reactivity properties of the dyes, according to the company. The dyes also meet key specifications of the England-based Marks & Spencer chain of retail stories.

Both groups can be combined with other dyes in their respective reactive ranges.
