ITM 2006 Technology: Savio Macchine Tessili S.p.A.

Italy-based Savio Macchine Tessili S.p.A., a member of the Itema Group, had a turnover of almost 170 million euros in 2005 and an almost 40-percent market share in the winding sector. Products like the new Polar I automatic winder helped Savio achieve these figures. At ITM 2006, Savio will highlight the Polar, as well as related splicing and knotting equipment such as the Airsplicer, Twinsplicer, Watersplicer and Heat-Splicer.

Savio also will showcase the new AES-Fenix assembly winder and the Geminis S two-for-one twister.

Savio is represented in Turkey by A. Modiano Ve Oglu. The company has shipped machinery worth more than 100 million euros to companies in Turkey over the past five years.
