ITM 2006 Technology: The Santex Group

The Santex Group — comprised of Santex AG, Cavitec AG and Santex Nonwoven, all based in Switzerland; and Italy-based Sperotto Rimar S.r.l. — will occupy a 340-square-meter booth at ITM 2006. Specialists from each division will be on hand to answer questions and provide information on the company’s processes during the show.

Santex will highlight its Santaframe tenter, which is appropriate for finishing and heat-setting both knitted and woven fabrics. Information also will be available on the company’s Santastretch dewatering and overstretching machine; the Santashrink tensionless shrinkage and relaxation dryer for tubular knitted fabrics; and the Santaspread and Santacompact finishing machines.

Sperotto Rimar specializes in equipment for denim and wool fabric finishing, as well as technology for surface finishing and continuous dry-cleaning.

Cavitec will emphasize its coating, laminating and impregnating lines such as the Cavimelt-TSM hot-melt coating and laminating machine. The Cavimelt-TSM, suitable for sampling and trials, features a working width of 500 mm and an engraved roll and slot-die. The Cavi-BSC, a new development from Cavitec, was designed for simultaneously coating and laminating both sides of a breathable membrane. Information also will be available on the Caviscat scattering unit and Cavidot dot-coating machines for fusible interlinings.

Santex Nonwoven will introduce new applications for the Santatherm forced-through-air double-belt oven. Applications include drying spunlaced nonwovens or producing high-density compact nonwovens.
