Cognis Expands Process Chemicals Production Plant At Jinshan
Germany-based Cognis Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG’s Process Chemicals business unit has expanded
and modernized its production plant at Jinshan, China. The company has invested US$4.9 million to
expand production capacity for textile and leather intermediates and final blends, as well as the
range of products.

“By building new production facilities and modernizing our process technologies, we have now further improved our ability to serve our customers, both in China and throughout Asia, keeping pace with the continued economic growth in the region,” said Xiaolan Wang, Ph.D., head of textile technology, Greater China.
Included among the products manufactured at the Jinshan facility are scouring agents, softeners in pill form, degreasing agents and fat liquors.
