Muratec Establishes Indian Subsidiary

Murata Machinery Ltd., Japan, has established Murata Machinery India Pvt. Ltd., a New Delhi-based subsidiary that will provide the Indian market with support and technical services for Muratec textile machinery from bases of operation in Mumbai, Coimbatore and Delhi.

The opening of the new subsidiary follows a strong trend in sales of Murata textile machinery to the Indian market. Those sales have increased more than ten-fold since 2002, and now make up almost 25 percent of Murata’s Muratec textile machinery division’s global sales.
