IDM Instruments Develops Horizontal Flame Chamber
Australia-based IDM Instruments Pty Ltd. - a supplier of testing and measuring instruments - has
introduced a Horizontal Flame Chamber for measuring the comparative burn rate of certain materials
used in cars, trucks, buses and multipurpose vehicles.
The easy-to-clean stainless-steel chamber has a large heat-resistant glass window for observing tests, and its side-door-mounted gas burner makes the unit easy to light. According to the company, samples are easily loaded into the U-frame sample holder that resides under the lift-off top cover. The Horizontal Flame Chamber's controls are housed in a stainless-steel electrical cabinet to make testing quick and simple.
