PGC Industries Installs Latest Bierrebi Automatic Cutting Machine

India-based textile and garment manufacturer Prem Durai Export (PGC Industries) recently installed a LTE260-4s automatic cutting machine from Italy-based Bierrebi Italia, a producer of cutting technologies. PGC's cutter features four tension-free fabric feeders, and uses current inverter technology and fiber optic transmission to perform at a high and consistent level of quality, according to Bierrebi.

PGC employs approximately 8,400 people and has a turnover of more than US$85 million. The company has grown successfully over the past three years and is targeting 75-percent growth in 2010.

Back in 1997, PGC was the first company in India to purchase cutting technology from Bierrebi, and the company has continued to install updated Bierrebi machinery as production needs have increased. Bierrebi credits the successful installations at PGC for helping it enter the market in India - the company now has more than 30 lines installed in India.
